Easter Aquorthies Recumbent Stone Circle2 miles west of InverurieThe 20-metre wide Easter Aquorthies Stone Circle is one of the best preserved in NE Scotland. It consists of nine standing stones plus recumbent and flankers, arranged in a true circle, the tallest—which flank the recumbent stone—measuring in excess of two metres in height.
